Just the Way I Am - Part 2

You're the Boss of Your Feelings

You can tell the way a person feels
by looking at their face. 
Habit  #1, Just the Way I Am, first and foremost teaches us to be proud of who we are. Everything about ourselves is unique making nobody exactly the same as us. We need to make sure we are celebrating the things that make us special!


Habit #1 also teaches us about our emotions (the way we feel)! There are TONS of emotions that we can feel throughout our day! Greater than the number of feelings we have is the number of times during the day our feelings can change. In a matter of seconds we can go from being happy to sad or from being nervous to proud. Our feelings change depend on the situation we are in.    

Thinking about all the emotions you have and can potentially feel can be overwhelming, however what we sometimes don't realize is that we are in change of our feelings! We can control them, they don't need to control us! In order words, We are the Boss of our Feelings!




5 Keys to Feelings:

1. Everybody has feelings
2. Feelings will never go away
3. All feelings are good feelings  - There are no "Bad Feelings"
4. It's OK to feel mad, nervous, upset, ect.
5. Your the Boss of your feelings
6. Expressing our feelings to others is the hardest thing to do, but the most rewarding. We need to work on expressing how we feel to others.
